TYPES AND FUNCTIONS

Primary Air (PA) Fan

Delivers pressurized air to transport fuel such as coal, rice husk, biomass etc into the combustion chamber; essential for fuel fluidization in FBC boilers.

       Key Features:

  • Provides the necessary high-velocity air to fluidize bed material in AFBC boilers, ensuring uniform combustion
  • High-pressure design enables efficient conveying of pulverized coal, rice husk, or biomass to the combustion chamber
  • Optional integration with VFDs for flow control
  • Custom ducting and dampers for distribution accuracy
  • Balanced impeller design ensures stable operation with minimal vibration and acoustic emission

Forced Draft (FD) Fan

Supplies ambient air into the boiler furnace under positive pressure, ensuring a stable and continuous combustion process.

       Key Features:

  • Supplies oxygen-rich air into the furnace for efficient combustion.
  • Creates positive pressure in the combustion chamber.
  • Backward-curved impeller design for high airflow efficiency.
  • Robust casing with dynamically balanced impeller and integrated silencer for smooth, vibration-free operation.
  • Integrated with inlet dampers or VFDs for airflow control.
  • Compact design suitable for tight boiler house installations.
  • Critical for solid fuel combustion in FBC, grate-fired, and conventional boilers.
  • Built to handle high static pressures (up to 1,200 mmWC).
  • Available in mild steel and stainless steel.
  •

Secondary Air (SA) Fan

Injects additional air above the fuel bed to ensure complete combustion and support reduction of carbon monoxide and unburned fuel.

       Key Features:

  • Ensures complete combustion by supplying air to upper combustion zones
  • Supports staged combustion and NOx reduction techniques
  • Precision air delivery enhances fuel burnout efficiency
  • Designed for medium static pressures with controlled flow
  • Dampers provided for directional control and flow balancing
  • Optional noise-reducing silencers and flow modulating valves

Induced Draft (ID) Fan

Extracts flue gases from the boiler and maintains negative pressure inside the furnace, directing gases toward pollution control systems like ESPs and chimneys.

       Key Features:

  • Creates negative draft to evacuate combustion gases from the furnace
  • Ensures steady flow of flue gases through ESPs, scrubbers, and stack
  • High-volume capacity with temperature handling up to 350°C
  • Equipped with insulated casings and shaft cooling systems
  • Heavy-duty bearings and shaft design for continuous duty cycles
  • Integrated with expansion joints and dampers.

Custom Engineered Centrifugal Fan

Designed for specific operating parameters such as high static pressure, corrosive environments, or high dust loads; available in backward/forward-curved and radial-blade designs.

       Key Features:

  • Designed for specific applications like cement, chemical, WTE, or biomass gasification plants
  • Available in backward-curved, radial-blade, and paddle-blade configurations
  • Fabricated from custom materials (SS 316, Hardox, FRP, etc.) based on service conditions
  • Supports high static pressures and dirty gas streams
  • VFD-ready with option for inlet guide vanes or flow modulating dampers
  • Optimized for noise, vibration, and thermal efficiency
  • Conforms to ISO, BIS, and AMCA performance standards
